in the Maltese dogs breed a disease occurs in which their immune system erroneously identifies its own normal platelets as the foreign platelets. This disease medically called the autoimmune thrombocytopenia.  These platelets are the necessary for clotting during the bleeding of Maltese dogs breed for stopping blood in form of clots. During the disease period formation of clots stopped and animals continuously remain bleeding .In many cases massive bleeding can happens either from injury or internally. In the result of this disease Maltese dogs lost their blood, reduced their appetite and become very weak. If blood lost in massive quantity it might be the cause of the death in Maltese dogs breed or any kind of animals. Blood is the main carrier of the oxygen in the body try very hard to recompense by increasing the heart rate and panting, do try to carry more blood in the body of Maltese dogs. Medically this disease known for many other names or in different areas by the different professional vets like Platelet Disorder, Autoimmune thrombocytopenia, Platelet Function Defect, Immune mediated thrombocytopenia, Thrombocytopoenia and Thrombocytopathy. This disease hit the female Maltese dogs more than male Maltese dogs.
